Miss Roach

Hello my name is Miss Roach. I started working at Medlock Valley in 2020, after graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University. I am currently teaching in Year 5/6 after teaching Year 3 for my first year at Medlock Valley. My specialist subjects are English and MFL. I have recently taken on the role of MFL subject lead and I am very much looking forward to promoting the learning of modern foreign languages across the curriculum.
My favourite event during the school year is Word Book Day because I like to celebrate a love for reading. Last year I enjoyed dressing up as Mrs Trunchbull from my favourite children’s book Matilda.
Outside of school I like to travel and visit new places with my family and friends. At the weekends I like to relax with a new book in one hand and a cup of warm tea in the other.
