School Update for 6th September

We are delighted to announce that following guidance for schools from the Department for Education as well as Oldham Education Authority, we can provide a more ‘normal’ education this year, filled with opportunities for learning.

We will continue to regularly update the risk assessment as necessary but from the 6th September:

– Social distancing and ‘bubbles’ will no longer apply so that children can mix more freely.

– Celebration assemblies will recommence once classes are settled.

– Face masks will no longer be mandatory but at the discretion of individuals.

– If there is a confirmed case of Covid-19, the positive case must isolate at home for 10 days and follow current guidance. Close contacts who are fully vaccinated or under the age of 18 will NOT need to isolate but will be advised to take a PCR test. As always, if your child is unwell with symptoms of Covid-19, please do not send them to school and take them for a PCR test- this will reduce the risk of any outbreaks.

Please refer to the previous letter for times and entrances.

We are very excited about the prospect of an uninterrupted academic year where our children can thrive.
