Message from the Executive Principal

As Executive Headteacher I would like to welcome you to Medlock Valley Primary School, a place where we inspire children to achieve together. Medlock Valley Primary School is proud to be part of the values led Kingfisher Learning Trust.  We hope that the information provided gives you an insight into the practice and provision of the school and the values and vision that underpin our school life.

Every child in our school matters and we pride ourselves in delivering an ambitious and relevant curriculum that challenges, motivates and inspires all children to strive for excellence and develop a love of learning. We work hard to educate our children to become thinking, confident and compassionate citizens of the 21st Century who have a healthy respect for others.

We believe that we have created an environment of learning that explores the interests and talents of all children, enabling them to take part and engage with a breadth of academic, creative, sporting and artistic experiences. We value and support the passions, potential and individuality of all our learners so they can expand their horizons and reach high levels of achievement. We use a variety of therapeutic approaches and strategies to promote the emotional health and wellbeing for all our learners. This philosophy, along with the Intent of the school, is at the heart of all decisions we make in relation to all children.

Our website will give you lots of useful information and our social media posts provide a ‘flavour’ of what we are doing. However, a visit to the school will tell you much more about us. We look forward to welcoming you if are able to do this

Message from the Director of Operations and Pastoral Care

On behalf of all the children, staff and governors at Medlock Valley Primary School, I would like to welcome you to our website.

Our website is a very important tool in celebrating all that we do here at Medlock Valley Primary School and is vital for communicating with parents, carers and visitors as well as providing information about our various policies, practices and procedures.

We are all extremely proud of our school. Our professional and committed staff work hard to provide the best possible education for our children. Through our new engaging curriculum we strive to encourage a passion for learning that will help to develop aspirations. Our ‘core values’ of Respect, Equality, Aspiration, Compassion and Honesty are at the heart of everything we do. We endeavor to create a culture where all of our children fulfil their personal, social and academic potential in preparation for life after Medlock Valley Primary School.

We believe that children learn best when parents take an active part in their learning. Parents are partners in the education of their children and we greatly value their contribution. I’d like to say a big thankyou to our parents in anticipation of their support.

I hope that this website will provide you with all the information that you need about our school, staff, curriculum and extra-curricular activities. However, if you are unable to find what you need please contact us.
